From town, head right on the river till you get to the food stalls (maybe 500m)--the amusement park is across the street. Both are only open at night. The food stalls are a great place to eat, as is the non-profit restaurant run by ex-street kids (can't remember what it's called), located near the central market (on the side of the market where the ANZ bank is, a few streets down away from the river, perpendicular to the market). Great local food, nice atmosphere and service not to mention its a good cause and they have ICE CREAM!!

p.s. we've seen our share of bats--over bats plus they stink ;oWith 2 Kids In Towhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17698525647389998509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-487999432961323989.post-90857142395652411262012-06-19T09:03:37.222-07:002012-06-19T09:03:37.222-07:00Where is the amusement park?? It took us a few days to figure out where all the restaurants and food markets were (apart from the central markets of course). It was an odd place ... but it grows on you. And with the bamboo train and circus it's hard not to at least find a few things to love. Did the girls discover the pink funeral headstones in some of the temples in town? Hayley was so excited by those.Tracyhttp://www.ourtravellifestyle.comnoreply@blogger.com
